At Ville, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, supportive, and positive environment for all users, including parents, caregivers, families, experts, and community members, in person and online. This Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines outlines expected behavior and responsibilities of all users, to protect users, maintain healthy discussions, encourage responsible engagement, and safeguard the privacy and safety of children and families who access or use Ville. By using or accessing Ville, users agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines, together with all applicable laws and other policies of Ville.
1. RESPECTFUL AND RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR

Users are expected to interact respectfully and responsibly with all members of the Ville community. Harassment or intimidation of any kind, including those based on race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion, language, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical appearance, disability, veteran/military status, marital/partner status, parental status, or other group status; bullying; trolling; abusive language; threats; hate speech; discrimination; personal attacks; shaming; stalking; or any behaviour that creates an unsafe or hostile environment is strictly prohibited. Users must communicate respectfully even in situations involving disagreements, parenting differences, or differing opinions.

2. CHILD SAFETY AND PRIVACY

Ville is committed to protecting the safety, dignity, and privacy of children. Users should exercise caution before sharing any information relating to children on Ville.

Parents and caregivers are strongly discouraged from publicly posting sensitive or personally identifiable information of children, including full names; school names; residential addresses; phone numbers; medical records; schedules or routines; live locations; identification documents; financial information; passwords or account credentials; or any information that may compromise a child's privacy or safety.

We maintain a strict, zero-tolerance policy for any content or accounts that exploit or endanger minors. Users should avoid sharing photographs or videos of children that may expose them to safety, privacy, or exploitation risks.

Any content involving exploitation, abuse, endangerment, sexualisation, inappropriate depiction of minors, or unlawful conduct relating to children shall result in immediate removal. Such content may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

3. AUTHENTIC AND SAFE INFORMATION

Users are expected to share accurate, genuine, and responsible information. Users must not intentionally spread misinformation, false claims, harmful parenting advice, unsafe medical guidance, misleading content, scams, or fraudulent information.

Content relating to health, pregnancy, parenting practices, nutrition, medicine, therapy, child development, or mental health should not be treated as professional advice unless specifically provided by qualified professionals.

Ville's AI assistant and community discussions are intended only for informational and support purposes and should not replace professional medical, psychological, legal, or childcare advice.

4. PROHIBITED CONTENT

Users shall not upload, post, share, publish, transmit, or distribute any content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or offensive; promotes violence, harassment, or discrimination; infringes intellectual property or privacy rights; contains sexually explicit, exploitative, or inappropriate material; promotes self-harm or dangerous activities; impersonates another person or entity; contains malware, malicious links, or harmful code; promotes spam, unauthorised advertising, or deceptive practices; violates applicable Indian laws or regulations; or may harm children, families, or community safety.

5. EVENT AND COMMUNITY SAFETY

Users participating in events, workshops, meetups, or community gatherings organised through Ville are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully.

Users must not engage in unsafe conduct, harassment, discrimination, inappropriate photography or recording, unauthorised solicitation, or any activity that may endanger the safety or comfort of participants.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of their children during any offline or online community activities.

Ville acts solely as a facilitation platform for community events. In the event of a physical incident, safety concern, or emergency during any Ville-facilitated activity, users should immediately contact local emergency services and notify Ville at the contact address below. Ville does not guarantee the safety, suitability, or conduct of third-party event organisers, venues, or participants.

6. PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Users must respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.Users shall not collect, store,  misuse, publish, or share personal information belonging to other users without proper authorisation. Screenshots, recordings, private messages, or confidential community discussions should not be publicly shared without the consent of the concerned parties.

7. REPORTING VIOLATIONS

Users are encouraged to report content, behaviour, or activity that violates this Code of Conduct or Community Guidelines or may threaten user safety.

Ville reserves the right to investigate reported violations and take appropriate action, including content removal, warning notices, temporary restrictions, suspension, permanent account termination, or legal reporting wherever necessary.

8. MODERATION RIGHTS AND APPEALS

Ville reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to monitor, review, moderate, restrict, remove, disable, or refuse any content, account, event, communication, or activity that violates this Code of Conduct or Community Guidelines, applicable law, or any other policies of Ville.

Ville aims to acknowledge reported content violations within 72 hours of receipt. Users who believe their content or account has been incorrectly actioned may raise an appeal by contacting Ville at the email address below. Appeals will be reviewed and resolved within 15 business days.

Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or permanent removal from Ville without prior notice.

9. ONLINE AND OFFLINE SAFETY AND DIGITAL RESPONSIBILITY

Users are encouraged to exercise caution while interacting with other users on Ville, including during private communications, community interactions, in-person meetups, or event participation.

Ville does not guarantee the identity, authenticity, or conduct of any user, and users are advised to independently exercise judgment and discretion while engaging with others through Ville, whether online or in person.

10. NO PARENT SHAMING POLICY

Ville encourages supportive and inclusive parenting discussions. Users must not shame, ridicule, humiliate, or attack other parents, caregivers, or families for differences in parenting styles, beliefs, cultural practices, educational choices, feeding practices, or lifestyle decisions.

Constructive and respectful discussions are encouraged; hostile or judgmental conduct is prohibited.

11. NO UNSOLICITED PROMOTIONS OR SPAM

Users shall not use Ville for unauthorised advertising, spam, chain messages, mass promotions, solicitation, or commercial exploitation without prior written approval from Ville.

Repeated promotional posting, misleading advertisements, fake reviews, or misuse of communities for marketing purposes may result in removal or suspension.

12. RESPONSIBLE PHOTO AND VIDEO SHARING

Users should obtain appropriate consent before uploading photographs, videos, or recordings involving other individuals or children. Users must not upload content that may compromise the dignity, privacy, security, or emotional well-being of children or families. Ville reserves the right to remove any content considered unsafe, exploitative, inappropriate, or harmful.

13. SAFE COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS

Users should avoid posting or encouraging dangerous parenting practices, unsafe home remedies, harmful medical suggestions, violent or abusive disciplinary methods, discriminatory beliefs, misinformation regarding child health or development, or content likely to create panic, fear, or harm.

14. ACCOUNT SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES

Users are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities conducted through their accounts. Users should immediately notify Ville in case of unauthorised access, misuse, security breach, or suspicious activity relating to their account.

15. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

Ville maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards unlawful activities, including exploitation of minors, cyberbullying, threats, stalking, identity theft, impersonation, financial fraud, blackmail, harassment, or distribution of illegal content.

Ville reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities, regulatory agencies wherever required under applicable law.

16. TERMINATION OF ACCESS

Ville may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate access for users who violate this Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines, applicable laws, or community safety standards. Such actions may be taken without prior notice where deemed necessary for safety, legal compliance, or protection of the community.

17. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW

When using or accessing Ville, users agree to abide by all applicable Indian laws, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000; the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; and other relevant laws pertaining to intellectual property, child protection, and cyberspace.
